This will be a hard evening for all of us. But....Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away. Oh right - different tale.
Thank you. All of you that have made this series so much better for all of us with your wonderful insights and sharing.
And our stories are not finished yet.

It is known. When I first started this forum I didn't know if I would be able to find any of you or if you would stick around. Thank you so much for hanging around and sharing the experience with me. Our little discussion group has added a dimension that has very much enriched the experience for me. Has everyone read the books. I have them on kindle but will get them on audio. I get so tired reading. Shall we have a little book club and go chapter by chapter. Let me know if anyone is interested

I agree the journey as a group has enhanced the viewing pleasure and made the ride much richer. We lost some key people several years back and yesterday I was thinking of some of the GoT's friends and wondering what they were thinking of the finale.
I won't miss the bad writing, but I will soo miss all the actors and their characters. They made this series special. Reading the last two books, I will will see their faces and the life they gave to their characters.
I'm up for a reread. Maybe by the end of it a new book will be birthed.

Meeting all of you and I say meeting because I think of you as friends even though we never physically talked or met has made this story much more enjoyable for me, all those that we lost through the site transitions I feel like they were in a sense a part of our story, anyone can die as George said. I think of them as casualties of the story in a lot of ways. Why HBO insisted on shutting down their forum baffles me really. I suppose it was mostly cost of operation and Moderation. Those from the days there helped generate a feeling of involvement and enhancement of understanding, you all accepting me for my quirky self and embracing me made it more then just dialog on a chat page. Really wish we could have found more of them. Thank you so much Desert Woman for going thru the effort to make our Tea Party possible, you are a treasure. Little L.A., Stark Wolf you both have carried the torch as well and where the Wall may have fallen after tonight we still much watch, the prequels should give us more cannon to talk about and enjoy, but like that first kiss, first time being intimate, or first drink or driving a car it never really is like that first time. LOL all you wonderful ladies were part of my first, we had a foursome and didn't realize it All of you enjoy what has become a Historically Epic story brought to television, each one of us is part of that history in a small way, we can hope George finishes the original work, but without the show we would have never had these moments to enjoy each others thoughts as well as be able to share our common interests in enjoyment in the Game of Thrones, it's funny really when I first started watch only a handful knew of the show. Myself and you all and many others as stated above have been the foundation that made the show and books the success they are by forums of discussion such as this. I hope we can continue to talk about this stuff here, the Prequels, West World, Fear of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead and other shows. Not sure we will be able to have the passion we all had for GOT, but staying in touch and bouncing thoughts off each other isn't bad thing no matter the topic. Take care of your selves first and foremost, without your health nothing else will matter really. Second Virtual Hugs and Kisses to all of you, being the only guy here and feeling so loved by you has been special. Chris

Digesting this, but Bran and Tyrion being objects of circumstance and taking a job they don't want but know they have to do. Fitting really we always thought Tyrion was best suited to fix things, Bran well he is a figure head that allows delegation and just guides rather then actually dictates. Basically he is the wise man of the Kingdom.
Breinne and Pod are Kings Guard, she had a fitting sign off in the book for Jamie.
Grey Worm Honoring Mesendias memory and going to go protect Naath.
The Council is what we thought the secondary characters being the voice of reason. Not much to say there, most had minor rolls in the finally.
Sansa played them all, she got what she wanted, Rule, the North Free and the ability to set their destiny.
Arya, I was disappointed a bit in how they concluded her involvement, teared up a bit with her good Bye to Jon, but she did what she said she would do, go explore what's West.
Jon, what can one say that gave everything and then had to kill the one he loved to save them all. He was sent to the Night Watch but my feelings is he is the King of the North now, the Real North based on how the Free Folk acknowledged him and Tormund. Nice to see him pet Ghost and Ghost accept him. He is really where he is suppose to be, kind of came full circle.
Dany, this one is hard, she went full and forgive the insult it is not intentional but Hitler, believed she was good and doing the right thing, wiping out all for her world vision, wanting to not be satisfied with just Essos and Westeros but the whole world at the end. Truly madness. Jon had no choice, she would have killed Sansa and everyone else that didn't agree with her.
Drogon not killing Jon but knowing he did it was weird but understandable in theory, he was a Targaryen. Drogon taking Dany away and going East and not heard of would in normal situations for a show considered a cliff hanger. They had not seen him and Bran was going to try and find him, but no word about it.
Where would he go, Old Valaria I guess maybe. Thats one of the loose ends that's frustrating to me. We know everyone else's closure but Dany in normal shows could be resurrected by magic, become a Night Queen or a number of things, become Quaith even since she was masked.
That's my first watch thoughts, you know I will watch it at least three more times, Final of GOT and watching Averngers End Game in the same day. I may need therapy now.

Desert Woman we all owe you such a debt! Thank you for keeping the four of us together! And of course, we will continue to get together for the books and other shows. Westworld doesn't come back until 2020! No worries because we do have the books and other shows coming up.
Marilyn you have always been so wonderful to me. To everyone most likely. But thank you for everything.
Chris we are lucky in our little group. If we are destined to only have the one man - thank all the gods it is you! Your wit and patience are a lovely thing to behold. Your above two posts show that so clearly.
Now the show: about the only thing I can add is that there will be more shows. LOL
Drogon flying off like that was not the last time we will see a dragon flying like that! Probably even future offspring of his. And as long as there are dragons, there is magic! And like Harry Potter says "I love magic".
Thank you all for making this series magical for me.

Thank you all for making this series magical for me. Lee Ann, thanks also for your sweet post. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet in person. It has been an honor to know each of you, even if it is just on line. We have all been visiting about our show for a very long time and it feels solid good friends.
We do still have Outlander, Westworld and the prequel to discuss, and maybe we will find another special series in the future.

After episode 3 a guy posted all the info on episodes 5 and 6 on Reddit Freefolk. I decided not to read about episode 5, but I did print off the episode 6 details. I'm glad I didn't read bout episode 5 because it was so dark I would have been tempted to skip it. After episode 5 was so dark I decided to read about episode 6. Very unsure if I was making the right call. But, after I read it, I felt a peace that it would all work out, maybe not exactly as I hoped, but still not bad. Last night I still felt at peace with the outcome. I still had issues with the writing and rushing, but realize it just has to be accepted.
I like Bran as King, he is not power hungry and besides Aejon he is the only one. Sansa is power hungry and she could easily turn into Cersei or Dany.
I loved that Tyrion was humbled by his past actions and wanted peace and prosperity for Westores and all the people. All the bad decisions mixed with his knowledge had in the end produced a good decent man.
I loved that Drogon survived and that he melted the Iron Throne. It was symbolic that he melted the object that had killed his mother. Aejon held the dagger, but it was Danny's lust for the Throne and power that killed her. Tears rolled when he picked her up and carried her off.
Aejon and Arya's goodbye brought both tears and sobs, but I was fine with all the rest. I was hoping for more for Arya, but I must admit it was true to her character. She was so inquisitive she could never stay in one place, she needs to roam and acquire knowledge. I like to think she would come back and go north of the wall and find Aejon.
Aejon of all the characters had the most twisted and difficult journey. He had given of himself from beginning to end and lost two women he loved. His was the supreme sacrifice of self. Going North with Ghost, Thormud and the Freefolk would finally give him a simple free existence that he deserved. Sansa doesn't recognize it, but he is King of the North, all the North. He is King of our hearts as well.

Oh and for those looking for something new, A Discovery Of Witches, it's pretty good !
Vampires, Demons, and Witches oh my....
It's a BBC show or at least British so it's not the Americanized version of those types of Characters.

Probably on demand. It is showing on AMC. It is an adaptation from books, seems all the TV worth watching have books to go on.
If any of you have Amazon Prime, Sneaky Pete is a fun watch. The third season just came out last week.

Ok Ladies, my Bitch on is up.
Things that were never answered
The Lemon Tree and Red Door Dany remembers, where was it.
Quaith, who was she.
Azor Ahai or Prince Princess that was promised who was it.
What was the end of Tyrions Jack Ass Joke, he started it three times and never finished.
Why didn't we see Arya use any of her abilities after she Killed the Night King.
Speaking of they also never showed us the Isle of Faces and if the Children were there still.
Howland Reed may have been in a Chair next to Sam, but where was he in the moments we really needed him.
How the hell can Bran be looking for Drogon, Weirwood.Net doesn't exist in Kings Landing, there are no Weirwood trees there, The Faith Burned and uprooted everything that wasn't supportive of the High Sparrow, are they going to Hire a Service technician to fast Grow some tree's?
Also where did Drogon go with Dany?
How did Bronn get Master of Coin, he is a Sell Sword, he spent his life stealing it or killing for it.
Who made all that new Armor and clothing for everyone in Kings Landing when they are still trying to keep things from collapsing from the attack ?
Where did all those damn Ships come from, Yara's fleet was destroyed, Eurons Fleet was destroyed, The Kings Landing Armada was destroyed,
Who was that person who was suppose to be the Prince of Dorne ?
Is there really a Night Watch anymore and why if so and if it's because of a rise of a new Night King then why are they not sending more then three people there ? Jon and those other two guys, every one else was a Free Folk I seen there.
Most importantly to Bronn will the Brothels have Disco Ball in them and does Podric have a Consultation position on how to make your Whores Happy and get a discount.
Where was Nymeria at during the White Walker invasion.
I am sure there are more but was just spinning today about what we missed.
