Mr. Willoughby's scenes were great! Fergus and Marlalie's not as great. Jaime and Claire .... don't you know he is fit to be tied that she is sailing away from him...
Next week's episode should be very entertaining. This week's was a little boring for me. What did you all think?
Who has read the books?

Who has read the books? I also loved all of the Mr. Willoughby scenes. He is a great character. It will be interesting to see where they go from hear. I have forgotten so much of the books everything is a new surprise. I did remember Fergus showed up with a girl, but I had forgotten that Jamie married Laoghaire and Fergus fell for her daughter Marsali. I do have some memory of what will happen in the next few episodes and how this season will end.
This episode may not have been the best, but it was still interesting and moved the story forward. There is a lot to get through in the last 4 episodes.

I do believe they will HAVE to end the season the way it is in the books. Otherwise, what is the point???
I agree, there is a lot to get done in 4 episodes.

the first time through this episode, I had many interruptions and distractions with my great grandbaby lol! but the second time through was better. I thought the Mr Willoughby story was beautifully written and performed. The struggle and the suspense and the payoff worked really well for me. Loved the way his story saved the day and brought joy and hope to everyone on that boat! Clair and Jami are finally beginning to trust each other and feel the love and they are separated again! What a mess they are in from all sides! Young Ian on his way to sold as a slave. The ill matched young couple, and now Clair kidnapped! Sounds like a typical day in the life of our favorite couple..

I agree they will end this season where the book ended. That ending gives all of the watchers a lot to think about till next season.
They may not get to all the people and places in the book before the end, cause a lot happened. We will see how it goes.

Tell me why you would let Claire go unescorted to a ship that needed a physician?
Also the story of Mr. Willoughby was great, he must have watched Game of Thrones also and decided that he didn't want to be Greyworm.
Laughed at Jamie and Acupuncture treatment.
The episode did drag a lot however, focusing more on Superstition then anything, was waiting for Stevie Wonder to start singing.

Hi Chris, Claire did not want an escort because she knew that it was a disease that anyone with her might contract. She knew the British would not allow any of the men to molest her in any way, but it never occurred to her that they would"press" her into service for the Crown. LOL
The next four weeks should be quite exciting! I {almost} can't wait to see what everyone thinks.
I read they are going to make a TV series of The Lord Of The Rings. Hope it is not a "quickie" version of Tolkien's tale.

Hard to do a story like Lord of the Rings after such a great Movie series that pulled no punches really and spent the money to do it right. If they do a Prequel so to speak about a lot of the Historical characters prior to the Lord of the Rings such as the first Rise of Sauron, Isildur, or maybe something on the background of Wizards like Gandalf, Elrond maybe would also be a good tell along with Galadriel, after all they each have a Ring of Elves. There is a lot to pull from rather then rehashing something done so well that anything less then Epic production is going to be looked at as a Cash in on Peter Jacksons work.

Wish they would hire you as an 'idea man"! But my fear is that they will just cash in on Peter Jackson's ideas. How many remakes of remakes does the Hollywood machine make every year? I mean really, how many Batman's or Spiderman's does anyone need?
