We only have like 8 episodes left and there are a bunch of loose ends we still need tied up, this list are things we still have blowing in the wind and I wonder if they are going to get answered.
1) Quaith - Who is she ? Why and how does she know so much and why is she interested in Dani.
2) Varys - Why is he and Illyiro involved with Dani ? What did Varys hear from the flames.
3) The Faceless Men - What is their interest in all this and Arya.
4) The Surviors What is the long term situation for our survivors ? Is Arya a assassin, married to Gendry, Warden of the North, and that question goes for Sansa, Jamie, Tyrion, etc.
5) Howland Reed - Will we ever see this guy in the series, if not what happened to him after the Tower of Joy ?
6) The Night Watch - If the Wall falls, what do they do with all the convicted people sent there for crimes?
7) The Priests of the Red God - Why are they interested ? How deep are they involed, in the books there are all over and Quaith and Mel as well as Kinvera.
8) Where is the letter Ned wrote to Jon and gave to Varys ? We know he has the ability to reseal documents now.
9) What is in the Crypts of Winterfell calling to Jon? he was down there and we got no answer.
10) Where are the Children of the Forest ? We saw the few in the Bloodraven cave die but they were all over Westeros.
11) Whats the purpose of the Night Kings invasion?
Ok that was 11 but we have so few episodes left and those loose ends in my mind that are still unresolved.

Chris, I believe most of your/our questions will be answered, but not by the series, by the books. In the series I doubt we will ever see Quaith, Faceless Men, Priests or Priestess's of the Lord of Light again. We may or may not see Mel again. Next season of the show will be the war with Ice and the war for the throne.
I hope I'm wrong, but six episodes can only close out so many threads. We have lost people this season, but next season should see many more fall. I look for Cersei, Jamie, Jon, The Mountain, Qyburn, Beric, Mel, Varys, Euron and maybe a few more to get their curtain call next season. They will make a big deal with the loss of the main characters.
This season we will learn everything about Lyanna and Rhaegar's wedding and the name Lyanna whispered to Ned. Next season Jon will learn who he is, as will Dany, and this will be after they have done the wild thing. So all those around Jon and Dany will also know and we will see how they all deal with this piece of info. This should be a big deal with the fact Jon and Dany have fallen in love, oops Jon is Dany's nephew and the true ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. This will set up a big ball of threads. Everyone will need to choose whom they intend to follow. This will also effect Cersei, Jamie and the Southren Houses. Untangling this mess and the War with Ice should take up all six episodes, even if they are extended episodes.
Now if we ever get another book or books. I do believe GRRM will tie off all the threads you were asking about. I just hope I and even GRRM make it long enough for him to finish A Dream of Spring.
Amendment! I think we will find out Chris's #11.

All of those questions are consuming me as well. I think we may see Mel again as she told Varys that she must return here one more time to die. I really want to know Varys' story. That piqued my interest in that scene with Kinvara - and where is she? Maybe Mel's return to Volantis will start the ball rolling for them to send some kind of aid for the war.
I believe that Jon *Aegon" and Dany will marry. That would not be unusual for a Targareyon union. She once said that she assumed that she would grow up and marry Viserys. Brother, nephew, what's the difference?
Something is "off" with Arya. She shouldn't be so taken in by Littlefinger. Also, she needs Jon, Gendry and/or the Hound to return to help her get in touch with her humanity. She is a badass and we want her to be a force for good - not just personal revenge. At some point I hope she sets that aside for the larger picture.

I am reminded of Neds words to Arya in season one, "try not to stick your sister with it" referring to needle. was that a foreshadowing ..?

I have been critical of the writing of Winterfell scenes this season. David and Dan said Arya hadn't come up against anyone as practiced as LF. I don't agree, I think she would see him coming a mile away. I realize they are setting up for death and shocker episode 7, but it has been messy. Just my opinion.
Cricket, I also want to see a little of the human side of Arya. I'm really hoping next season when she meets with Jon and finds out two old friends are safe, Gendry and The Hound, we see a badass, but good Arya. I really hope she is among the living when the last scene ends and the credits roll. LOL!
