Really liked the episode, the intensity of the drama is edge of your seat, Jamie, poor Jamie, can we call him Job now. He can't even ask for death and get it Curious how this plays out, the suggestion of an alias by the records keeper has to have a significance going forward, I know Claire was looking for him and there was no records last season. Claire and Frank are going to be going fast forward next episode, wonder if Jamie does as well since Brinna is shown to be like 18 or so. Good episode! Murtaugh is dead. In the books, Jamie has poor memories of the battle. He never remembers who actually killed Black Jack Randall. The show made that much more clear. Great acting.
A whole bunch of stuff (20 years) has to happen in 13 episodes. They will fly through the Frank and Claire stuff.
Marilyn, you do need to re-read!! Great story. I am re-reading book 5 now. Having said this....Diana G. has NOT finished the series. Eight books are done. The ninth is due. Soon. LOL! Sound familiar? Little LA, I was racking my brain yesterday and I was pretty sure Murtaugh was dead. I loved Murtaugh, I didn't want him to be dead. I was remembering when they sail it is just Claire, Jamie and Furgis.
I think I will start with DiA and reread it as the season is playing. Then I guess I can keep going. I have only read 6 books, so I have some catching up to do. Yesterday I read that Dinana intends to finish in 10. So yes, another waiting game. I started this series before ASoIaF and stayed with it for 6 books and got tired of waiting. DG started out doing a book every 2 years on the first 3, but then she started doing the GRRM thing.
From what I read yesterday the first 5 episodes this season will be their separate lives and in the 6th Claire starts off to find Jamie. I'm so glad we all watch this series also. If I remember correctly we all watch Walking Dead. We will have something to talk about up to Christmas.

saw the episode! I guess starz.com plays it the night before chat more tomorrow after I re watch it in the morning. I watched about an hour early. I will check next week to see if it is on demand early. Good episode, they have moved forward 6 years really fast so we should be around 12 years next episode. The preview looked like Claire and Frank are not getting along well at all.
It seems like the producers of Outlander are just trying to stick to the story, they don't add stupid stuff. Very enjoyable.....

I liked it as well. my favorite genre is historical fiction. I noticed that Jamie passed 6 years while Clair was only about a year with Brianna only a couple months old. its makes you wonder about an age gap when they finally get back together. Clair's heart just can't let go of Jamie and is unable to let Frank back in. Such an uncomfortable situation for both of them. Brianna is bound to pick up on all that growing up..

There is a small timeline difference they need to correct. Next episode Brianna needs to be at least 6 or older. You're right Brianna does notice. I know a bit more from the books, but will say no more. It will be fun for you to watch as it comes. Looking forward to Sunday.

I've looked around a bit to see if Brianna gets to meet Jamie. I was hoping that her and Roger would go through the stones with Clair and be together as a family. Brianna would have two cousins, one a bit older and one about the same age. But, it doesn't look like it from what I've read..

Well this episode set up a reunion of some sort, Claire fantasizing about Jamie when having sex with Frank and you caught her saying she missed her husband, not Frank as it implied on the surface. We find out later when he asks her to open her eyes. Jamie seeing Claire in place of other people also. Sad part about the Episode though. Fergus.

Corny as it may seem, Jamie and Claire have a love that transcends time, space and matter. Yes Chris, it was obvious both their thoughts were on the other.
That Fergus is a feisty kid. Heartbreaking in a boy so young! Well at least we know Fergus won't let this keep him down. He will fight and learn to live with his injury.
Two good stories ,Two lost hands! Hmm
