prior to once, sarah was in the tudors. she played princess mary. i like that actress.
on another note. I canceled my cable. last bill for tv and internet was $240! they just don't deserve that kind of money. what i have decided to do is wait till the shows season is over and then prescribe to the streaming service, then cancel after I watch. tired of paying all year for a few weeks of programming. so, it kinda spoils the whole group discussion thing for me. but boy I will save some money! lol!
how much do you guys pay for tv and internet? DW, I feel your pain. I have also been looking into cutting the cord. My son did it about a year ago. He said it was very hard to get used to, but he is starting to come up with ways to watch, but the cost is also starting to increase, but not as high as cable. He had to keep internet and he added Sling TV and monthly HBO. With cable he was paying just over $200 a month. He is now paying $100 a month for internet, Sling TV and HBO. He does not have a DVR, but Sling allows you to stream shows anytime a day after they have aired.
Now for the KILLER!!! I have cable through Cox. My land line Phone is $29.99, not bad. My Internet for 50Mbps is $67.99, Hiway robbery. My Gold package TV is $200.09, Criminal!!!! for a grand total of $268.00 per month and it is going up again this month. Like Chris I call them every six months and threaten to move to Dish or the other guy. They don't want to deal anymore because they have lost so much business.
When I make my decision, I will let you guys know what and who I go with. Please all of you do the same. We all need to stick together to try and beat these guys. It is truly criminal to pay $300 a month for Internet and TV. I'm depressed for a week every month after I receive my bill.
I watch outlander and counterpart on starz, a couple of shows on showtime and hbo. I can't see paying all year for something I just use a few weeks. lol! I'll wait till the season is over for them, sign up for the streaming service and then cancel after I binge them that's the plan anyway. I'll let you know how it goes..

Our comcast cable bill is $219.29. Our WiFi is $41.00. And our two I phones are $108.00. We got rid of the land line after my Dad passed away. The unwanted sales people and political crud drove us crazy! The ONLY reason we have not cut the cord is because I have no clue as to how to "stream" anything to our TV. And I was unaware there was an option to stream the premium (HBO, Starz and Showtime) one day after the shows aired.
We have to see GOT and Outlander. If only to finish the tales.

I'll get STARZ PLAY to see Outlander. the other shows Ill get the streaming service to binge watch them after their seasons are done. can't see paying all year when I'm not using it. My ktla news I can stream on my computer for free. I don't know where you live, but you should be able to get the streaming services anywhere. just check out starz play and showtime on your computer or smart phone and you should be able to check them out..

DW has the right Idea turn them on for a month and binge watch the shows you love, then cancel after you watch everything. I know the number of people cutting the cord is tremendous. Maybe at some point they will realize they can't charge such high prices if they want to keep people signed on.
Little LA, all you need is Wifi signal in your home and you can stream to TV, computer, I-phone, I-pad. You will need Internet speed of 50Mps to stream. That will allow you to get all the premium channels streaming.

Basic will be fine. it is. the steaming services are no contract, month to month, so it should be able to cancel what you don't need until you do lol! at least that's what I'm hoping..

My wife watches TV a lot, she can't drive and has severe health issues, it's our only real entertainment, back in the day we would go out and play pool and darts and movies, dinner. We also had two incomes, the entertainment is cheap compared to what we used to spend, now it's almost a necessity for her, that and cell phone. We or she video calls to see people she cares about which is high speed and WI FI. Hate the cord but for now it's needed. 150 megs coming to my house for TV, Xbox, Cells and computers.

go to the networks of the shows you like hbonow for got, starzplay for for outlander etc to get an idea of costs. I get Netflix for free from both my daughters and haven't missed cable at all. granted it's only been a few days, but Netflix is enough for me for now. when more of our shows air, I will get some streaming

Sometimes, it is our only entertainment also... Other than our rascal friends coming by and checking in and making sure all is well. I wish you both well!!!

Internet 50Mbs 1 TB Monthly Data. is now $71.99 per month. TV is $205.39 plus $29.99 for land line. How sad it that? If I go 100% streaming I will have to pay extra for exceeding 1 TB Monthly Data. They have us all by the throat......

After I cut off the tv with Frontier, they were charging me $100+ for 75/75 internet only. I shopped around and found that Charter was offering 100/100 internet for $49.99 all equipment included and no data limit. with free self install. should be a piece of cake. I'll call Frontier and cancel as soon as the new service is up and running. throughout the year, I'll get a streaming service now and then to watch my favorite shows, but I see a big savings
